Course Title: Meeting the Requirements of ISO 9001:2000 . Continual Improvement
Overview
Continual improvement is a requirement in many of todays management system standards that apply to organisations. This course identifies two levels of continual improvement, Strategic and Systems derived improvement. We examine the requirements for continual improvement, find out where it is needed in an organisation and identify practical applications that ensure improvements are indeed sustainable. Organisational culture is discussed as a paramount issue to sustainable improvement. We examine the impact of culture within an organisation, its effect on improvement and what is required for culture change.

Presenters
Deanne Emmerson is a risk and management systems specialist. She has extensive experience in service, manufacturing and not for profit organisations with specialist expertise in the health industry. Deanne is a senior management systems auditor, has studied risk management at university and is currently completing an MBA. Deanne lectures in the Masters of Quality program at RMIT in risk management and she has assisted many organisations in systems and performance improvement, risk reduction and strategic development.
