Course Title: Risk-Based Internal Auditor Training Workshop
Overview
A totally different approach to internal auditor training for Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems! Instead of old-style courses that teach you 1980's 'gap analysis' approaches, leaving a trail of disaffected auditees in their wake, you will learn how to audit rigorously, thoroughly, and in a way that creates real engagement with auditees.
Based on our exclusive Positive Audit. methodology, you'll learn how to conduct procedure audits properly. This course is competency assessed.
Objectives
You will develop the essential skills to conduct thorough and rigorous audits within your organisation, at a standard appropriate for certification. At the same time you will build the engagement and enthusiam of auditees for the systems they work with, and the audit process itself.
Content
Starting with the basics, presented a fresh and engaging way, you will move through a learning process that you'll enjoy, covering...
- Background to systems
- The unique role of audit within systems
- Audit process fundamentals
- The Positive Audit. approach
- Workplace application and competency assessment
- Reporting and follow up
- Learning is reinforced through group discussion of issues, and specific video inputs to illustrate learning aspects.
This workshop is usually presented in-house at a host company, often (subject to approval) with other non-host company participants at this location. All training is therefore done in the context of live management systems, not contrived and sterile case studies.
You will get to see another company's systems, and share your experiences and challenges with people from other organisations.
For the host company, all competency audits will 'count' as audit history in your system.
Who should attend
This workshop is appropriate for new players in the audit field, or those who find the outdated approaches they have learned elsewhere need some improvement. This course is interactive and experiential in nature, and suitable for people from ANY role in your organisation.
